About the session
In our rapidly changing technological age, how do we ensure that the values of sport are not corrupted by the enhancement techniques pioneered by the sports scientist and engineer? From the latest developments in prosthetics to the fastest bikes in the world, new technologies continue to push the limits of athletic performance to ever greater heights. However, at the core of all sports remains the concept of fairness - the idea that it is only the virtuous perfection of natural talents that makes a true champion. This talk explores the impact of technology in Paralympic sport and reveals where the future may take us.
